The 5 missions and 20 commitments of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale

By being the first bank to become a benefit corporation in the second half of 2020, Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale sent out a clear message that it wanted to participate in the responsible transformation of the economy, as part of a more inclusive and sustainable growth model.

In 2020, the mutualist group adopted its raison d’être: Ensemble, écouter et agir (listening and acting together), which, together with its status as a benefit corporation, forms the basis of its commitment. Five missions guide its day-to-day actions, and form a part of its corporate purpose.

To accomplish these missions, Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale set fifteen concrete commitments from 2022. These commitments enable it, among other things, to develop mutualist democracy, combat discrimination, protect digital privacy and tackle global warming. They embody mutualism of proof, an effective, innovative mutualism that sets Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale apart. In 2025, the 15 initial commitments are giving way to 20 new ones that underpin the benefit corporation dynamic in areas related to key issues today.
