The program for the 10th Festival de Pâques, to be held in 2022, was unveiled today at Les Invalides in the company of Daniel Baal, CEO of CIC, along with Dominique Bluzet and Renaud Capuçon, Executive Director and Artistic Director respectively of the Festival.

Coming after the 2021 Festival which garnered more than one and a half million concert viewers, this 10th edition offers a blended program with concerts returning to the event's emblematic venues as well as live streamed concerts via inlive-stream.com. Spectators will have the unique opportunity to stream one concert free-of-charge each evening at 8.30 p.m.

For Daniel Baal, CEO of CIC : "The 2022 event marks a new beginning. In particular, it establishes the new blended format that offers the joy of watching artists in concert at the Festival's emblematic venues and the chance to attend via digital channels, together with other scheduled events like the five shared concerts planned throughout the region. Drawing on values that emphasize people, solidarity and proximity, CIC has made classical music a major axis of its cultural patronage and sponsoring activities. Its objectives in this regard form part of its mission statement and raison d’être."

Once again, the Festival promises an exceptional program featuring well-known international musicians and concerts outside of the Festival venues. The 2022 Festival will feature some of the biggest artists in classical music : Martha Argerich, Barbara Hannigan, Lionel Bringuier, Juan Diego Flórez, to name a few, with a total of nearly 800 musicians starring in 31 concerts across 10 venues.

"This year we wanted to put the spotlight on French orchestras. These two seasons have been very difficult for musicians. We felt it was important for our many excellent orchestras to take the limelight again. We are lucky to be in France because our local authorities have battled harder than anywhere else to safeguard the country's cultural policies, practices and ambitions. We can take pride in a country that took a stand and once again we would like to sincerely thank, together with our patron CIC, all of the spectators, local authorities and individuals who have supported us throughout this long journey", say Renaud Capuçon and Dominique Bluzet, the two driving forces behind this edition of the Festival, from which we can expect moments of high emotion and originality.
